New membership in Cruces Aeromodelers Alliance (CAA) is by current member sponsorship.
To become a member, you must fill out the membership Application
If you do not have a current member sponsor, leave this section blank.
Once submitted, you will be notified of acceptance as a provisional member. Provisional membership has a minimum 90 day waiting period while prospective new members get to know our existing members and find a club sponsor. You will remain in provisional status until the current members vote on membership acceptance.
Yearly dues must be paid at the beginning of the calendar year. First year payment is prorated and due upon becoming a Full member.
CAA has the following types of membership:
- Full adult member – for those 16 (suggested to raise to 18) years old or older; member has full voting rights for all club functions
- Dues – $30 per year
- Active or Veteran Military Discount – $12 discount per year
- Youth member – for those not yet 16 (suggested to raise to 18) years old; member has voting rights for everything except bylaws changes and membership endorsement
- Dues – $0 per year
- Additional adult family member – for families that have more than one person interested in the hobby; member has full voting rights for all club functions
- Dues – $10 per year
- Provisional member – New members that have not been endorsed by club membership vote; Provisional members have voting rights for everything except bylaw changes and membership endorsement
- Dues – $0 until they become full member, then follow dues schedule above
- All above memberships can be either flying or non-flying. Flying members are required to maintain AMA membership; if AMA membership is dropped, status will change to non-flying.
